How RDSI gives back

Each week since 2020, Rapid Delivery Solutions has partnered with Food for Greater Elgin to help distribute food to elderly residents and families in our local community. Food for Greater Elgin (FFGI) is a regional guest-choice food pantry that provides meat, fresh produce, dairy, deli, and shelf-stable items to households in need.

RDSI drivers load boxes of goods from the FFGE pantry into their RDSI vans and then deliver meals and household essentials to more than 2,600 families in need throughout Elgin, South Elgin, East Dundee, and West Dundee. Their efforts help nourish at-risk children and assist people who are disabled or homebound. In addition to supporting FFGE’s operations, Rapid Delivery Solutions also donates a portion of its profits to give back to the community and to help fund FFGE in its important cause.

“RDSI is an especially valuable partner to Food for Greater Elgin,” says Executive Director, Dr. Michael Montgomery. “Our partnership increases our ability to get weekly supplies of food to shut-in residents. Because RDSI drivers are familiar with city roadways, they’re efficient in delivering food to families in need and can help us scale operations with ease. It has been a pleasure partnering with them.”
